 The first episode of "Diriliş: Ertuğrul" season 1 is titled "Diriliş" (Resurrection) and was aired on December 10, 2014. Meanwhile, Suleyman Shah and his tribe are forced to leave their camp by the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum, as they are no longer welcome in their current location. Ertugrul and Gundogdu return to the camp to find it deserted, but they eventually locate their tribe and join them as they set out to find a new home.

On their journey, they encounter a group of nomads who offer them shelter and food, but their peace is disturbed when the Templars arrive and demand that the Kayi tribe hand over their wounded warrior. Ertugrul steps forward to defend his tribe and engages in a sword fight with the Templars, ultimately emerging victorious. The episode ends with Ertugrul being hailed as a hero and the tribe continuing their search for a new home.
